First thoughts - I've seen and heard all of this before. In the package, comes a 6 CD set and a paper bound booklet (for lack of a better description) describing how to sponsor reps in today's market. Doesn't look like much at first glance... but after delving deeper into the material and reading it again, I realized it was not about reading the material but more about "getting" it. That's right, "getting" it.

You see, what Mike Dillard and Mark Wieser have done here is basically separate the men from the boys. If you are not mentally prepared to take on the challenge that they offer up of sponsoring reps into your business, then you are really not ready for Network Marketing today.

Let me give you a summary of what you can expect to learn if you order Black Belt Recruiting.

First and most importantly, you need to have a new way to think about sponsoring. Prospecting, sponsoring and recruiting is all about psychology; getting inside your prospects head and really understand what it is that is driving them. There really is no wrong and right way to sponsoring - it is about mindset and applied technique. Example - why is it that there are gold, silver and bronze medals in the Olympics? What separates the levels - is it skill? No, they all have the skill levels or they wouldn't be there. It is mindset.. Their mindset is what separates them from the rest of the pack. So what you will learn here is how to apply those techniques and master this mindset to take your business to the next level.

Once you have mastered this mindset, you will be able to sponsor more reps without hard selling. The goal is not to sell our prospects on our product or opportunity. Sounds backwards, huh? Well, not if you have been tuned in lately to the principles of Attraction Marketing and this new model for the 21st Century. Selling has always been a problem when it comes to the Network Marketing industry. You can pump people up and target all of their hot buttons in this industry and yes, you will probably recruit them into your business or opportunity. But... will they last? No, of course not. My laundry list is a mile long of prospects I brought into the business who dropped out within 2 to 3 weeks and I'm sure yours is too if you have been doing this for any length of time.

Once the excitement of joining wears off, they become disillusioned and quit. They don't have the right mindset and never did so why did you even waste your time with them in the first place? Because...that is what you were always taught to do. Get them in your business - whether you have to drag them screaming or torment them until they say "yes", just get them to sign on the dotted line. Well, this doesn't work. You know it, I know it but yet, we are continually being taught to do this by uplines. Well, take this concept and run with it - MAKE IT THEIR IDEA to buy from you. This is the new paradigm when it comes to selling in today's market and you need to understand this concept first and foremost in order to be successful in Network Marketing today.

So, step 1 in Black Belt Recruiting.....

Get Invited - have prospects coming to you rather than the other way around. People today are drowning in a flood of information from the interent and television. Their natural instinct is to be wary of strangers and others trying to "sell" them something. DO NOT be that person. The key to sucess in today's market is to find a way to get invited into their world as a welcomed guest - not a pesky salesman.

Step 2 - Generate Attraction - Mike Dillard refers to generating attraction by using two techniques; one good, one bad.

DOHV (Demonstrations of Higher Value) is good. We like this one. You must demonstrate that your value is equal to or greater than your propsect's or they will not join you (you, not your opportunity is what they are joining here). Period, end of discussion.

Recruiting is about leadership and you need to demonstrate that you are a leader through verbal and non-verbal communications.

DOLV (Demonstrations of Lower Value) is bad. This is what usually happens when someone new is trying to recruit. They seem needy and they present themselves as needy so the prospect will disengage from them because they do not perceive them as a leader. Mindset in motion here again.

I could devote an entire blog on DOHV and DOLV and I will be doing that in the future but for now, just understanding these two concepts is key to recruiting and sponsoring the RIGHT people into your business.

Step 3 - Effective Follow-Up - This is pretty basic and we all know about follow-up but do we all do it effectively? How many times have you heard that it is 10 x harder to find a new customer than to retain an existing one? Many if you do this for a living but do you really listen to that?

95% of people in this industry insist on doing things the hard way. Folow-ups is where the money is yet sadly, it's where the average home business owner spends the least amount of time. There are 2 types of follow-ups:

Passive and Active

Passive is where you leverage your time by building rapport, respect and relationships with your prospects via e-mail using an auto-resonder.

Active is where you follow-up with personal phone calls to people who have shown a genuine interest in what you are offering.

In summary, all of this is tied directly into your mindset and how you are going to approach your prospects about your business opportunity or products. Be a good student and you will learn more than you ever thought possible. Be closed minded and fearful, and you will remain where you are today.

If you take away anything from Black Belt Recruiting, take away this:

With the right mindset, anything is possible.
